Out and about in Looe earlier today for my first drive in Elsie. Never driven her before, nor used a C-matic box but it didnt take long to get used to it. A cracking drive, real fun and she generated a lot of interest.

Excellent. How do you find the C-matic? Never tried one myself.

Just been out for a coffee this morning. Here she is, parked by the quayside in West Looe, close to the Tasty Corner Cafe.

Looking nice. When I saw your first photos my eye was drawn to the rusty bottom of the doors.. so I thought "wow surely it's not worth it" but with swapping out the doors & panels and Chevronics' brilliant panel fitting, plus a nice paint job she looks excellent.

I actually came to this post because I was looking to see what tyres you chose.., as I need to buy a set of 5 for the Ami-super Berline I've recently bought. I see that you went for Michelins.. Is this the universal consensus for 135 & 145 sized tyres. ? (N.B. the Ami Super is 85kg lighter than the 1015cc GS and was originally fitted with 135 section tyres)

I also like your wheels. I'll keep a lookout for a set of those, as mine has the older Ami wheels without even the perforations. Your's would look good on my car just as they are.. ie., in silver, without the full hubcaps.

Thanks ;)

p.s. just noticed that in the photo outside the coffee shop you seem to have replaced the full hub caps with the small ones. Is that correct or is it just the angle of the photo and reflections ?
