The CX's were pretty quiet but what really set them apart was the handling, the Safari felt like driving a 17 foot Mini. I drove for several miles up the M5 soon after it opened with a flat front tyre, I thought the road was a bit bumpy but it wasn't until I saw smoke coming from the o/s tyre I realised what was wrong.

Quite a detailed gallery on every car, very much in contrast to something like Leboncoin.

Looked at a Citroen H which although looking from the outside quite presentable with a decent paint job, did have a series of photos, which helped show the real state of the vehicle, so you have a better idea from afar on its condition.

..there was also an Aston Martin (09 reg) in the same multi-storey car park.....probably didn't realise that the spaces are too close together, and had probably paid about £50,000 for the car.....if it were mine I would go nowhere near multi storeys and only use supermarkets where I could find had at least three parking spaces in a row free.

Not worthy of a photograph from me though.....found the Morris Oxford more interesting

Also saw a Ford Custom Deluxe from the early 50's on the M6, but it was in anything but Deluxe condition.

Farina did quite a bit of design for BMC around that time but I think the only one that actually used the name was the A40 Farina.

Students are soft and pliable when drunk Jim....5 on the back seat, 1 lying across the foot wells, Lad and girlfriend in the boot and three in the front....it handled better

I used Austin Westminsters and Wolseley 6/110s for several years, then an Austin 3Litre which although slated by the motoring press and a failure as far as BL were concerned was and still my favourite car I've owned.

Haven't verified whether this is true or not, but the article claimed that the Austin 3-litre won the world championships in 1981!
