Its going to run into hours before I give it a go, but I presume I could deduct the time sleeping from the challenge!

It is LHD, so not Australian or Japanese (and I think that I would have recognised it if it were...).

The square headlights mean that it is probably not American (unless the styling is really out of period). The sculpted waistline I think should be a clue.

I am sure that I have seen that front end before, probably in a car collection or museum, but I can't place it.

All right you lot, this will probably take you about ten seconds given your reputation...but this beast of a thing caused a fantastic moment of "...?" from me as it burbled into place just across from where I was parked up today. Definitely not one I'd ever even heard of before, never mind seen one...which given that this is my speciality time period wise surprised me.

I had to wander over and consult the badges before I could even figure out which country it was from much less what it was...however I've removed those now so you can't do that!

Think I have nailed it Zel, but not without a bit of skulduggery (or using my initiative) I'm afraid to say

I will not give it away, as others scratch their heads, but Xantia V6's points are correct it is a left hand drive, and Australia and the US will not provide the answer, and it wouldn't be giving too much awayto say that the decade is "The Seventies".

It is a very good whatsthisthen particularly with the badge removal and the direct upload to the forum with no url info to help.

Reminds me of a Datsun 200 I sold many years ago, the car that did more miles on an original engine than I've ever seen in another vehicle 1.25 million as a taxi.

It certainly has a Ford look about it, maybe a Granada built specially for Scandinavia or Italy.

Surprised that this has flummoxed so many of you - though it does make me feel a bit less useless for having been utterly clueless as to what it was when it arrived now.

It's a Fiat 130 3200 Automatic. Unedited photos below - though thanks to the badges being chrome you couldn't make the model number out anyway. ...The shape would have been a big clue though I reckon.

Guess you're all going to want me to do better next time now aren't you!

Similar to the Lancia Gamma Coupe, not surprising seing as Pinninfarina desgined them both.
