The thing I recall from a trip on the Waverley, many years ago, was the smell in that engine room! Steam and hot oil - lovely!

On one of the West Sleekburn Scrappies Facebook page recently sent to Mick. Thought it was a "Wind" at first sight, nice and odd.

TOTH Micra Cabriolet? :-D

If so I remember Richard Hammond being so embarrassed with the pink one he was asked to test drive on Top Gear that he abandoned it at the side of the road and walked!! :-D

I think there's a mistake in the name, shouldn't be 'Wind' should be Weird. :)

If it's not the Micra, I think it could be a little Mitsubishi - a Colt CC??

Definitely not the Micra CC, that's totally gorgeous! ( well from the front anyway) :-D
NewcastleFalcon wrote: 10 Aug 2024, 19:41 I have a lot of time for the Nissan Micra K12, the Bargain Basement Motoring thread is testament to that. Slightly odd looking in its Cabriolet Coupe form, but wouldn't say no and its a nice colour!

You could well be on the money there Matt. It is a Mitsubishi. Haven't looked it up yet myself :-D

Yes, I was well behaved too, so used only braincells rather than Google's help :)

Both Micra and Colt convertibles are on the list of convertible cars I've seen often enough but never ever with the roof down!

Try this. Doubt a googly search will find it but some lateral thinking might.

Not a Lotus Elan Mick, but I always appreciate an attempt, so I'll guide the lateral thinking. It appears on an FCF thread today and the raindrops are significant. :-D
