I've only tried clay pigeon shooting once in my life and that was getting on 40 years ago now... As I recall, I enjoyed it and would never say no to another opportunity to shoot up
Then we shall arrange it Jim.....being the friend of the owner of the local shooting club will help .....and the fact I will shortly be painting a Tractor for him

I think I have spotted what's known as the general public, and some shiny copper pipes, sort of thing you would do if there was long periods of nothing better to do, like being at sea, so thoughts turn to a bit of heritage marine stuff. They like shining plaques but the words too indistinct to work out.
Maybe something currently visiting the South Coast Portsmouth perhaps with the general public let loose to come on board.
In short don't know what it is or where it is but that's where I'll start.

Bang on the money so far, Neil
.... and there ain't been many heritage marine craft plying their trade along the coast in recent days
I have got it from that extra snippet and yes its trade is being plyed right now in the target area!
Many years ago the Falcons actually had a trip in it from Amble to Leith, with a bus back to Amble for a very decent price. It called in at Eyemouth to pick a few more passengers up and probably took around 6 hours. Up past the Bass Rock, and up and down the Firth of Forth in the vicinity of the Bridges while it waited clearance to enter Leith Harbour. Somewhere there is a video of it on a VHS tape, as I lugged my dads large and heavy Video Camera around on the trip.
I'll leave what I think is the coup de grace to later in the day to let others play along should they wish.
I can thoroughly recommend a trip on it / her*, we had a full day - setting sail at around 9.30 AM and setting foot back on dry land around 8.00 PM. Photos to follow for POTD....... but I've got a wedding to go to so they'll have to wait
Having been out on the river, minus phone or camera, all day I have just got back to catch up. Without any research at all and just going on comments so far my guess would be the engine room of the SS Waverley maybe?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
This is ordinary, very ordinary, and grey...highly appropriate for Grey Day on the OTCL
The more exotic and rare cars are may make for an easier whatsthisthen I do not know for sure what make and model of car this is. Come up with the evidence to support what you think it is I have cartoonised it a bit but the form is pretty clear.

Inded it is Jim, I remember a trip many years ago when the Waverley got together with The Medway Queen giving a great view off Southend but here are pics of the two for general interest:
