Nice article here from a chap called Ian Garnham who describes himself thus
Being born in the frontier town of Watford in Hertfordshire, I can remember from an early age being fascinated by the fire breathing, smoke belching monsters collecting water from the famous Bushey Troughs.
Bit of a link to the Trivia thread here viewtopic.php?p=804181#p804181
The LB&SCR Class H2 Locomotive IAN GARNHAM tells us about his favourite locomotive.
Nice bit of Rivetting and crinolines in place on the Boiler for Beachy Head!

Not a Triumph Gibbo, and very nearly for you MIck....It is in "gold paint". Right era of numbering but you have to increase the number a bit more to reflect a higher spec model.

I had a 265 and don't recall it having such a speedo, I did wonder about the boss' 740 though.
We had 145s and 245s at work but again I can't seem to recall them being like that.

For more 164 delve, this is an original sales catalogue from 1974...of the Zenith of the 164 the 164TE
from this excellent site for full old brochures across many makes and models https://autocatalogarchive.com/volvo/

One of the features was an 8-track and also reading lights!
The later versions of the 164 had Fuel Injection, our whatsthisthen? from 1970 has twin Carburettors.

I had a 144 when I lived in Cyprus... A 1967 model. Built like a tank and good in every way... It was my old 'Bondhu-Basher' and used as my daily driver to keep miles off my brand-new MG Metro; the car I brought home to the UK when my tour ended...

Well the class of Wednesday 3rd July 2024 failed to trouble the scorers. Thing is for the question-setters to continue to question-set participation is required.

Have a go class of Thursday 4th July 2024, small amount of help, the vehicle is a 2-wheeler. :-D
