Re: Whatsthisthen?
I use Waterless Car wash, comes in 500ml bottles with spray nozzle. You literally spray the first panel and wipe off with a microfibre cloth. Then spray the second panel and wipe off with the cloth. Back to the first panel and buff with another microfibre, then spray 3rd panel and buff 2nd and so on until you have gone all round the car. No water, no mess and all the muck in your first cloth (which you may need to change halfway if the car was very dirty) for slinging in the washing machine next wash!! As you can see brings up a great shine with little effort and takes about 25-30 minutes to do!! This is the stuff I use:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120756704079
I get 3 washes per bottle with my car or it would be 4 if I washed the MX3 all the time!!

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Only 3? Actually at 500ml bottles that ain't bad. I use showroom shine, well worth a look imo, spray on, wipe across, wipe off, job done. It cleans, protects, and polishes at the same time. I'll post a photo of my passenger door after at least 6 months of no cleaning

If anyone is thinking of buying Showroom Shine on eBay, Don't, as far as I'm aware it's still supplier only, online sellers charge more

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Not really an option for me Steve because with the drive sloping down towards the garage the waste runs into the door and usually under it to soak the garage floor!! Washing the car in the road has become socially unacceptable in this part of the world so it's take it to a hand car wash or use the waterless at home which works out at less than a £1 a wash and does give a good finish so that's my choice!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

If the weather is okay tomorrow, I'll try to do a half and half on the bonnet. I still need to do awful lights on C8 tonight, if I remember

Mine is a somewhat socially unacceptable option too Mick.mickthemaverick wrote: 12 Aug 2023, 16:50 Not really an option for me Steve because with the drive sloping down towards the garage the waste runs into the door and usually under it to soak the garage floor!! My house has a 'tunnel' through it leading to parking for seven cars round the back.
I have to wash my car at one end or the other of the tunnel which blocks it for anyone using that parking area. Pretty much guaranteed that as soon as I start then someone will want to be in or out.

Re: Whatsthisthen?
I like the waterless stuff because just like glue, I'm apt to make a heck of a mess with water, especially on the end of a hose
