Re: Whatsthisthen?
Almost spot on bobins, but close enough to claim the points. It is actually a windscreen mounted mobile holder:

Yes I ask the stupid questions, because normally it is that simple.

Re: Whatsthisthen?
It cost me nothing to repair and now has a steel spindle which won't break again, possibly better than the original, so it would be dumb to dispose of it and pay out another outrageous price for a new one, not to mention helping save the planet!!Rp0thejester wrote: 10 Aug 2023, 17:38 I would never of got that, most people would dispose and buy a new one

Re: Whatsthisthen?
You are good at picking near impossible things like a wrapped up present or the inside of a phone holder, any chance of something simpler as a warm up....If not, I'll get my WW2 aircraft parts out and ask what is it then...

Re: Whatsthisthen?
I never 'pick' anything, sometimes things crop up and I think "that would get them thinking!" and post it up!! No point in easy things as they wouldn't last long enough for different members to see them!

As it happens I probably will be filling a few boxes tomorrow but I doubt any will be worth posting!! Not following your ebay comment I'm afraid?

Re: Whatsthisthen?
If selling on eBay you'd have to box it and post it, if you've got an eBay selling account I could research what your selling and guess from there

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Right I'm with you!! Yes a different use of the dark arts, as we tend to call internet research on here, I will bear that in mind for my future whatsthisthens!! I do sell stuff on Ebay but only the odd thing from time to time and usually for local collection so no packing involved!!
