Definitely one of the best iterations but lacking the flowing Italian/Lotus lines of the time.

The mkII 2 stroke circa 1966 is nice though.

Yes. This is a well sorted and finished example. Pity that Saab were a bit half cocked over the Sonnet, c'est la vie!

Well 24 hours with only one suggestion! Is that because everyone is stumped or because the car simply doesn't inspire the assembled throng? Here's a little clue: the car was built by one of the world's major manufacturers!! :-D

Really?

I thought it was a special someone had built recycling the grille off something else! (Set to Googling various search terms to try to identify the grille: jaguar mkX (too rounded) series 1 xj6 (closest I found) then offbeat searches Dennis fire engine and routemaster bus! Looks disproportionately large, hence why assumed it was a "make do with what available"

Just politely standing back giving others a go Mick!

Didnt recognise it first hand, and to be honest never heard of it, but the dark arts would point me in the region of Italy, and maybe even the home of oops Juve! with a badge like this, and the new Season will be upon us soon enough. :-D

Ok. Have gone back hunting again. No luck and refuse to use picture recognition software.

The car is LHD and has a small front number plate a la Italiano.

Is it Topolino based? The wire wheels appear to be smaller than the original Topolino but are bolt on it appears. Swinging rear axle, about the correct dimensions. Precursor to the Gamine? or a later homage.

Put us out of our misery soon, please.

It looks as though Neil has nailed this one with the dark arts so for the rest of the still curious you can find the answer here. It is worth looking through the gallery as the car has some lovely features to boast!! :-D
