Well as I had a completely free no obligations day I took myself out for the day. Needing a change I took the MX3 and then changed transport twice. So tonights little teaser (much tougher than last nights') is can you name the waterway and the railway for 100 points each, plus 100 bonus for naming the station. There is a further bonus 300 available for discovering the story about the bridge!! Clues after the second guess at each answer!!

i'm only in for the waterway and bridge...the rest of it i have no idea about 'that there' London things

bridge named after a town near to where you were recently and the water associated with signs on the M1 Luton area

i searched for a bridge with the distinguishing items....first hit
currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work

Looks like you have the bridge there old'uns but not sure about the waterway? The bridge has a coloquial name too which gives a clue to the story I mentioned!! :-D

M1 signs near Luton.... Brown ZSL, waterway runs through the main site.
I was obviously too cryptic 😀

Sorry old'uns. I must be being thick here but I still don't understand the connection between Brown ZSL and the waterway in my picture? :? #-o

I am suspecting this guess will be wrong, but it does have 4 platforms, and possibly fits in with a route taken by car/then rail and ending up somewhere near the Macclesfield Bridge.

Presuming you wouldnt be driving too far into the metropolis and not into the congestion/Ulez zone, and knowing a place to leave the MX3, I'm going for St Albans.

St Albans City railway station, also known simply as St Albans, is one of two railway stations serving the city of St Albans in Hertfordshire, England (the other being St Albans Abbey). The "City" station is the more important of the two, as it is on the better-connected Midland Main Line 19 miles 71 chains (32.0 km) from London St Pancras, being served by Thameslink trains on the Thameslink route.

The colour of the rolling stock also fits

Good deduction Neil. You have the right line but the wrong station. I actually boarded at Radlett but the picture was taken at my alighting point!! :-D

That should narrow it down. Quite cryptic from Old uns but ZSL= Zoological Society of London, whose main site is Regents Park ie London Zoo, but also a satellite at Whipsnade Near Luton, which I presume is brown signed off the MI.

Happy to have my waterway points reallocated :-D

Correct and a further bonus to you Neil! From there it was one stop on the northern line to Camden Town and then a stroll up to Camden west dock to board the waterbus to Little Venice. Well done, another teaser bites the dust! Off ro collect SWMBO from Warrington at 06.30 tomorrow so off to bed for me. Night all!
