Re: Whatsthisthen?
I did try to work it out, then I saw the caption, saved any further delving.
So that should be a bit of help for others...1982 Vehicle. Whatsthisthen?

Re: Whatsthisthen?
big clue, huh. Lets see how many eagle eyed spotters there are out there. Do you get double points if you identify both bits?

Re: Whatsthisthen?
That would involve putting 2 and 2 together, reading posts on other threads, and clicking on links, having a look at the content and scrolling down. Tough ask, requires one of those things called an enquiring mind or a penchant for a delve at the least.
Yes I'm prepared to offer double points, find one you get both.

That would appear to be a Lancia Beta attached to an agricultural machine!!
Now for a bit of detective work for you!!
Name the waterway and the motorway depicted here, some knowledge of my day posted elsewhere will be helpful!!

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Waterway is the Western end of a road that goes to the textile City and appears to have sections removed/renamed or numbers added to it
A straight waterway and on a bridge that can sometimes be a pain to wait for
the M'way i'm guessing going on the above is the number of a Gran Coupe with a certain human bodypart styled grille

Re: Whatsthisthen?
It is indeed well done if you got it without the delve. Saloon version Lancia Beta 2000. The Delve would have lead to Dormouse's link here and the muscleman digger second pic on pagemickthemaverick wrote: ↑09 Aug 2021, 21:01 That would appear to be a Lancia Beta attached to an agricultural machine!!

Re: Whatsthisthen?
Well we need old'uns to adjudicate but I plumped for the M56 Gran Coupe because I thought he said "missing body part"

Re: Whatsthisthen?
You must have passed perilously close to the AA Box at Mere Mick.
The landscape has been tidied up a bit, and the junctions and road layout changed nearby since this photo was taken in July 2016.
