Go on Mick, just got back from an overnight mini break over in the Lakes, another photo on the basis of a rogue guess would help ease the task...

Well done Neil!! That was my intention but they were closed so I had to make do with a garage sausage roll and can of coke!! Here are the other two pictures which show the feature that caught my eye because I thought we had a thread for them somewhere but I haven't posted on there!!:

Complete with floor drain! One needs to be careful getting in that - or you'll end up whizzing straight out the other side.

First posed July 2019, and almost a year later remained unsolved. In July 2020 when passing on the A68 I noticed that it wasn't there anymore, but the large garage doors were open. Pulled in realised this was my chance and possibly the only chance to solve the FCF whatsthisthen?, and was told what it was by an chap busy working on the chassis. He wasn't that talkative....

But it was an Armstrong Siddeley Hurricane.

Regards Neil
Saw that car again today...didn't fancy going in for a chat again, that would have been pushing my luck so did a quick drive by photo, and a not very good one at that :-D There was another vehicle poking slightly out of his garage, bit of chrome. The distinction between the Hurricane, which is what he told me it was and the Typhoon is that the Hurricane was the drop head coupe and the Typhoon the fixed head coupe. Now that rather poor photo looks like a fixed head so maybe he got his winds mixed up, or the Hurricane was in the garage.
