It certainly is similar Neil but it does not have the Triumph badge or space for it as far as I can see. Looking at the modded picture you can see where the difference in moulding is:

Also having had my Stag in the workshop for over 5 years I think the outer profile is just a tad too narrow and a fair bit too high.

My first thoughts are that picture doesn't look like the UK, more like USA, and if it turns out to be a USA vehicle I'm struggling but I would maybe plump for an unresearched TOH guess a Buick of 40's early 50's vintage.

Haven't seen one of those on in Northumberland, or on my travels. I would be guessing all day so did a bit delve.
