This one links together a few of the recent topics nicely - what is it?

Re: Whatsthisthen?
I've seen this car many times on my travels and have not a clue what it is except who makes it...
Just what is it? My searches, which I'm admittedly hopeless at, produce no useful results...
It looks quite unique and as it seems to live near Cranfield it may have an interesting story to tell... Maybe...
I apologise for the image quality, it's a still from my bike camera and there's raindrops all over the lens...
I got caught in an odd phenomenon on my ride today. We had a frost during the night and the temperature at the time of my ride was just above freezing - just enough to melt the significant quantities of ice on the branches of trees. This thawed ice fell as rain
Riding under one row of roadside trees I got quite wet!

Re: Whatsthisthen?
We have a regular in the same colour around here, and another in that colour too is a regular spot. A few sundays ago I spotted the usual Green one, a red one and unusually a grey one.CitroJim wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 16:08GoshNewcastleFalcon wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 16:05 That is a Honda Insight Jim. Re: Whatsthisthen?
I believe, from a comment on Facebook, that the Insight is now worth big money but the reason was not explicitly stated...
May I ask why?

Not hiting the heights as yet with those, It was a bit of a pioneer in its day.....as a self charging hybrid. The electric motor was a bit of assistance to get higher miles per gallon.
Regards NeilThe Insight featured optimized aerodynamics and a lightweight aluminum structure to maximize fuel efficiency and minimize emissions. As of 2014, the first generation Insight still ranks as the most fuel-efficient United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified gasoline-fueled vehicle, with a highway rating of 61 miles per US gallon (3.9 L/100 km; 73 mpg?imp) and combined city/highway rating of 53 miles per US gallon (4.4 L/100 km; 64 mpg?imp).[14]

Now I know a little about them I can see them only going up in value...
They looks to me like a good investment as a 'future classic'...
