The milestone is by the arrow, just up the road from the wonderfully named road - Wheelbarrow Castle. A certain Mr N.Falcon mnagaed to work out where it was (via PM) using a combination of his Spidey-sense, reading the tea leaves, and Streetview

How did Bodiam Castle fit in where Steve visited? Could it be Cowdray Castle, its only a few hundred yards off the A286, so I searched for pics and spent hours trolling through them. At about 1.45 I had a brilliant idea........I went to bed!!! I was going to resume my search this morning having thoroughly enjoyed the evening, so thanks for that!!! Do I get a consolation point or two for innovative thinking?

Small world - one of my ex-teaching colleagues was deputy head at what was Midhurst Intermediate School, in Wheelbarrow Castle. Some good memories of W.Sussex education service.

Re: Whatsthisthen?.
I asked a mate where the name Wheelbarrow Castle came from as he's lived here since the dawn of time, but he didn't know, so he asked his father who's lived here since before the dawn of time. He reckons it's because the only way you could get things to the Cowdray Estate cottages at the crest of the road in the olden days was by using a wheelbarrow. No idea if that's accurate, but it sounds good

Re: Whatsthisthen?.
I do know what it is but only by cheating. It just looked like a 'generic car' to me.

Cheating is another name for research, unless you have actually asked someone else of course in which case they would be entitled to claim the points!!

Re: Whatsthisthen?.
I have it on good authority that this is proving to be too difficult. I came across it while searching for something rare to use for my celebratory 1800th post but I abandoned this for the MX3 because it really is a very ordinary car even though it has some Bluebird blood in it.

...or Proton, or Chrysler Stratus-y thing?
Or a Ford, under southern-hemisphere licence?
Certainly deserves the nondescript award of the year.

Well, it isn't a Neutron or an Electron.
Nor a Higgs-Boson particle.
