Re: Whatsthisthen?..
Well, as I recall recounting elswhere, I had one for about a month, while I prep'd it for an MoT but there were more features that were unfamiliar than familiar - perhaps because I was rather better aquainted with the twin carb, 6/110 (which I had at the same time).

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
Likewise - but I didn't know that when I saw the original under bonnet shot (but it was the seats that gave it away)

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
You left too many clues there Van, would never have got it in a month of Sundays without a small amount of skulduggery.
Yes its a 2003 Nissan Stagea, with not a hint of a Nissan Badge on the Grill!

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
I thought you might need all the help you could get
AND it was the only piccie I could find in which it wasn't obviously an estate
Curiously, the one I saw had a huge "Nissan" roundel filling the grille centre; perhaps a different year/sub-model
OK, so Paignton's turning weird, automotively, (see my last couple of classic spots) - walking to the shops from where I parked yesterday, I passed this by the curbside:-
(well you might've seen the odd one - but I doubt anyone's ever got this close)

- Spoiler: show
PS One of those “familiarity phenomenon”’s this afternoon...noticed the grill first, then sure enough the model name on the rear. Never noticed one before today.....what are the chances of that happening?

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
Glad you're giving the others a chance this time, Neil.
Actually the photo I really wanted was a close-up of a rear doorhandle - but the site I found it on won't let you copy anything.

Sorting through the photo box I found this my Wolseley 6/110 write off.

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
Reminds me of my 15/60 - after I had a coming together with a telegraph pole!
I suspect my 6/110 went out in a blaze of glory banger racing (along with a Humber Imperial, sold from undewr my nose, after I'd spent a Saturday morning getting it going) - so I dread to think how that ended up looking.
Now, how about this?
Is it really what it appears to be - OR is the location significant?
Please don't let any arguments spoil your (fast approaching) Christmas.

My guess it's an Iranian-made Xantia in Iran...

Re: Whatsthisthen?..
That's what I was thinking, but assumed, therefore, it would be called something else, which seems to be the Iranian way. Apparently not, presumably because SAIPAC built them under licence, rather than buying old pressings.

Whatsthisthen?.its not Japanese
Try this one. Surprised me. Up for sale at a forthcoming auction in January, so there is a route there to get it by persistance if it doesnt leap out at you straight away. Currently its lot number 109.
I have removed the badge from the boot. I would say very untypical of the marque but then again it was 1962.
Save for that above, its a full car whatsthisthen?
Bon Chance!
Regards Neil
