Any ideas if they run a proprietary diagnostics software, or if a generic OBD device will work with them ?

I notice in the "Wrigley" advert there was a choice of petrol or electric powerplant. 8-)

Excellent bit of delving..thanks for the contributions.

Apparently they were a favourite for use in greenhouses and market gardens (whatever happened to market gardens ??) as they'd fit in and the round the sites easily.

From a crossword clue in Practical Classics.

What was the one time branding name for these Escort and Cortina Estates?

I don't know about the branding name, but wasn't the sales slogan:
"The new Escort and Cortina - they rust slower than a Fiat" ??

Good effort James. I have cleared up the 7th letter which did look like a "d" but was a poorly drawn freehand "a" :!:

Now if you know your country pursuits and your Rhyming slang this should give it away...

HUNTSMAN!

James pipped me on that one.

But I was getting a bit flummoxed as to the clue, because you mentioned rhyming slang, so put Berkshire (Berks ) and Country pursuits (Hunt) together and 'Berkshire Hunt' which is is cockney Rhyming slang word for C*** that I cannot repeat here! :-D So I was wondering where you were going with that one!

Well done chaps! I guess very few people will actually remember those estates being branded as Huntsman, I certainly didn't. and it took a bit of googling to find the answer. Thought I would give you a bit of help with my obscure rhyming slang references! :-D

Overheard Conversation, can't vouch for accuracy.

"Yes only 200 of these ever made, powered by a Daihatsu Car engine, and capable of 115mph"

Of those 200, 5 turned up at the Rocking Horse Cafe and Gardens just off the A1 at Rock Northumberland.

My photo doesnt give away any clues, but it is the whole vehicle so have a delve see if you can find out anything about it :)
