There were loads of Macaws wild around Kirby Misperton, Near Malton, N. Yorks. , breeding pairs that had escaped from Flamingo Park.

We're British Neil... The tall thing is an AERIAL, not an antenna
As a bit of an AERIAL buff, I'd like some more details
I like the lighthouse too... I'm a bit of a buff for those too...

The location is pretty easy to find, that is St Mary's Lighthouse at Whitley bay, nature reserve on the "mainland", and the "station" is at "Old Hartley". Thing is if you put into a search engine "Old Hartley Transmitter" (er the proper radio buffs may squirm in embarrassment at that terminology of course) you get all sorts of stuff about literal Hartley transmitters.
Probably GPO in the past now BT, but no further info emerged from a search before I stopped looking. Security very lax, just a note on the gate but an open gap at the side, and the cows wander freely all around it.

Shove a post up on the Trivia Investigation Thread of your findings Jim. Over there you can quite happily launch into full detail, keeping this little thread mostly visual

I once had to rescue my son and his girlfriend from St Mary's island, cut off by the tide.
Xantia on high and straight over the causeway, accompanied by the surprised stares of the low ground clearance car owners there, must have looked like magic.
And:-
According to a social media meme, Marjorie Taylor Greene once said, "I just bought a TV that said 'Built in Antenna.' I don't even know where that is."

Would that aerial be.... "the remote TX site for Cullercoats Radio at the remote transmitting site which was located 4 miles to the north at East Hartley. Navtex Transmissions are still made from this site on 518 & 490KHz" ?

This is the google maps streetview of the former site at Cullercoats now converted to residential.Another view of the same. The large double doors to the very right of the building led into the original transmitter room. All the transmitters were relocated to the remote site at East Hartley.

I have to recommend a trip to Uxbridge Battle of Britain Bunker but be careful not to run into this motley crew

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Another view of the Farmer's Dog... Look more like a building to me
I went for a very early morning run around Coleford, on the edge of the Forest of Dean, on Friday mooring...
A truly lovely little town and I feel, well worth a visit...
It even still has a traditional car accessory/spares shop in the town centre
