My parking sensors are not working, front or rear. In my case though I know the cause. Hitting a crash barrier did them no favours :rofl2:

yeah thats never gonna help! :lol:

everything was back working this morning, parking sensors and indicators. Brake pads worn warning light every 30 secs though drove me mad. I was almost at the point of crashing it so it'd stop bonging at me! 200 miles of that is enough to drive anyone crazy.

I'm actually wondering whether its all related to a failing battery. I drove 250 miles on friday, parked it up at home for the night and didnt go back out to it till sunday. Unlocked it and went to open the boot and couldnt so put the ignition on and it was in Eco mode. started the engine and opened the boot, loaded/unloaded and then shut the engine down until this morning. Started fine, no eco mode. weird.

I'm taking it back to the dealers today to look at the "Brake Pads Worn" message that just randomly pings up on my journeys. Must have pinged up 400 times in the last week. It doesnt stay though. the message comes on with the service light and then goes back off. Sometimes it sbongs once, other times 3 times. I might get them to check the battery just to rule it out.

The C series Citroens have a lot of electronics, and are very sensitive where the battery is concerned. It could be worth trying a BSi reset to see if that helps, but you must have a good, fully charged battery. Here is the BSi reset routine;

@ deano - How worn were your break pads, I had them replaced on all 4 wheels on my car on the regular maintenance last week, due to being worn out, but never got that message/alert?

Maybe there's a mistype on the message, and it actually has to say "Break Pads Not Worn" ... :D .. seems to me like a connector/sensor issue, maybe a loose wire somewhere that triggers a false alarm ...

yeah its pretty erratic, does seem to be like a loose conection. I had a look at the wear sensors to make sure they were all plugged in etc and thats fine. The Main dealers said something about a system reset for the breaks that sometimes fails.

Maybe you came in too fast ... :D ... happened to me once, once the sensors responded, I already bumped a plastic trash container ... that's why I'm going to put a reversing camera, just in case, on my car ...

They do, but as you go faster so they raise the pitch of the note. As a consequence, all the moths in your area thought there was a giant bat out hunting! :lol:

They had escaped earlier, but they are now back, as they thought there was a giant bat in the area!
