Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
As I mentioned, some of the menu options are missing. There are only 2 things I can suggest at this point:
1) First of all try a BSI reset. Sometimes this may be needed after a firmware update, as the head unit is constantly powered and may not properly reset. Don't just disconnect the battery as that won't clear the ECU down! Follow the procedure in this post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=56019&p=502218#p502218
2) If that does not cure it and the menus are still missing, try and reapply the firmware update again and make sure it is not a corrupt file.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
RNEG + Yatour bluetooth box seem to work nice together. I can stream music from phone, and make phone calls at the same time, so there's no conflict connecting RNEG's handsfree and Yatours audio streaming at the same time to one Android -phone. There's no artist info on the display though, but I can live with this.

What kind of removal keys RT6 needs? RT5 keys won't fit I guess?

Yes, the flat ones below are used for the NG4 system and the earlier MyWay units among others.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Could someone with NG4 measure the display height? I'm looking for that panel around display for RT6, and I think now that also NG4 has got higher display than RT5. So RT6 and NG4 have same panel around display, and RT5 has got panel with lower hole if I'm right. I found one panel from car with NG4, and I could buy it if it fits.

Yes the NG4 one is the larger one as the display is slightly different - so if you have one for the NG4 it will be the correct one.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Hi all,
Is it possible to connect another radio edit (Apline CDA 137BTi in this case) with RT4 monitor?
I was looking at adapter Alpine APF-R100PS but I think this one can't show display?

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
What's your VIN (PM it to me if you prefer). It is unlikely on the X7 that you'll be able to put one of these systems in as the display also contains microprocessors and talks to the whole car - Connecting up a non-compatible system just won't work and may have an undesirable impact on the other car's systems. If you are wanting to upgrade, best to look for a fuller featured but compatible X7 system from the range.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
Ok, so you have the MyWay system (RNEG). Upgrades that have been done with this system, are to the RT6 (in this thread), but will require the high res screen (there are 2 versions) a new fascis (it it marginally larger), the RT6 unit and configuring. The other bits are detailed. Or the Navidrive 3D (ditto for the newer screen, fascia, and you will need the services module (MDS) and other kit.
None of these are cheap options. If you decide to put in an aftermarket unit, I can't really help with this as you will probably loose some computer functions, parking assistance and I can't say for sure what impact this will have on the vehicle overall in terms of functionality. That's why most of the upgrades here are from within the range of the system. I haven't included the later SMEG+ system fitted to 2016 models as that has a different BSI version and wiring, with a lot of the manual buttons for ESP, Parking Sensors and AFIL incorporated into the touch screen. Your car probably won't be compatible with this system because of the physical wiring changes.
I have the Navidrive 3D system - it is a nice unit and has everything I want, and was the top of the range system at new. I know the MyWay systems don't have bluetooth music streaming, but you can get a separate unit for these IIRC.

Re: C5 X7 2-in-1 navigation tutorial
So even I would find new Navidrive 3D system you think It wont work properly with my car right?
If I can't use all car functions (apart from navigation as that I'm willing to sacrifice) then there is indeed no need to place aftermarket unit. The intention by upgrading to later original unit (like Navidrive 3D) was at least to get preamp output (which that model has?)
my first idea was to place aftermarket unit below the present MyWay unit but after removing the bottom compartment I found that there is not enough dept. That way I was planning to have the audio system separated while leaving the old system in place.
