I did and it nearly redeemed things but the Viva experience was just too painful...

I've seen a Focus with the 1.8 TDCi Lynx engine where the bloke didn't service it for 4 years. The oil had turned to jelly in it when we tried to drain the oil from the sump. We had to put a heat gun under the sump to melt the oil for 2 hours before anything would even come out. We eventually got about a litre out of the engine but it was toast already. :mrgreen:

If you leave that unattended for too long someone might try spreading that on a slice of toast.
