This is the place for them Van ;)

Here is a pdf scan of the Event programme. It's in French but I hope it’ll be of some interest. It looks good :)

It's a big file so may take a while to load...

This was scanned for me by my pal in France...

Enjoy!

Yes, Jim, I know that - NOW!

Not seen one recently*, although one (another food truck, obviously) seems to have taken up residence almost in Paddington station.

* tell a lie, saw that one I first mentioned (in the wrong place) again one day last week. Owner obviously lives in SELKENT & drives it to his pitch, presumably, in Central London every day, probably retracing the route it travelled when it arrived on these shores, i.e. up the A21.

I saw an H van on a trailer on Saturday on my way home from Somerset.. It looked to be a catering wagon and saw it on the A303 near the Haynes Museum at Sparkford.

I guess it was on it's way home from an event of some sort...

I have a load of H Van pictures I can post from the French meeting as supplied by my friend down that way... As soon as I have some time I will post the best of them up...

At least the one I see is being driven to its pitch.

But not everything is as it appears; apparently the demand is so high that you can get a replica H-van food truck - that's not even a vehicle at all! Where will this madness end?

Sitting on the bus at the lights at the Tiger's Head (Lee Green) this - whoops, yesterday - morning, & that damn food truck went past. now there is something slightly incongruous about sighting an H-van from a London bus! Interestingly, it turned up to Blackheath - so maybe it's not going into Central London at all, as I'd supposed.

Is this the best place to deposit pictures of old French light commercials?

It is an "H" van after all if you look closely at the registration.

They're a bit different!

I'm fascinated by the endless variations of H Vans...

There was one at the DS Rally yesterday, being used as a shop of sorts!

The new forum system decided I had to try several times before it would accept that I really DID want to upload this picture!!!
