I removed my dpf around the same time as turbo as I had driven through some flood water and killed engine. The car sat for 2 months while waiting repair with possible water in exhaust so I cleaned it out with jet wash and dried out with an air line.
Dpf is really easy to remove and surprising how much crap comes out with a powerful jet wash.
