Thanks Steve,
Richard, I'd like to think I can keep her going for a few years yet.. But bigger things are in the offing.. like her first new clutch.. at 276K its doing well but it surely can't last forever.. that'll be the best part of £400 and then I'll need spheres soon .. that's another £150-200.. and an exhaust about £200? .. thats more than she's worth..but then again she's still doing 57+mpg ...and rarely gives me trouble (Only once a year..;-) )

One other quick question.. the black pipe that runs between the bellows on the rear cylinders.. is that just a low pressure balancing pipe?

Todays update..Couldn't do much till last night as I was working and waiting for the pipe to arrive from Citroen Lorient.
Fitted it last night and got everything together .. I relocated the safety valve out of the way of the crap from the wheel arch and cable tied it to the underneath of the 5 way connector.

Hopefully easier to get at and a lot less rust.
After making sure everything was connected, I started the engine.. toped up the LHM .. only to find another small leak.
It seems that I didn't obey my own rule of replacing all the disturbed pipes.. so now I have a small leak from the bottom of the firewall connector array.. I've ordered a couple of replacement pipes and as these only go to the ABS box, they should be fairly easy to fix. I can't believe just how rusty the pipes at the bottom of the firewall array are compared to the pristine pipes at the top.. It must be the lack of shielding on the inside of the wheel arch.. I must see if I can do something about that .. and doing that may help the Gearbox not to suck water when running through big puddles.

Finally finished (I think) Turned out the last pipe I replaced, I didn't have to.. it wasn't that one that was leaking ..it was one of te earlier ones that I hadn't quite nipped up tight enough and was leaking onto the conector array ... That last pipe was a real B***ER to come out even when I cut the lower pipe and "remove" the connector from the array out into the open and with the union completely loose the pipe still wouldn't come out, despite twisting the connector.. the pipe was twisting as well. I had to heat the connector up 3 times for the seal to finally let go.
I'll check for leaks later today or tomorrow.. nights again..Still need to refit the undertray and do some work about water ingress into the gearbox.. but that can wait till next week.
Thanks again for all the advice help and encouragement.
I hope this helps someone...
