The resistors are on the pcb inside the lamp, you have to force it apart (be gentle) and you may find they have rusted out, mine had and also the tracks on the pcb were damaged by water ingress....hope this helps

Do these led-indicator -bulbs work with standard indicator relay? And is it possible to change indicator relay on C5 MK3?

What in effect happens is that when you turn something on it sends a pulse to module which then in turn sees a load now if that load isn't there or diminished it registers a fault as the load keeps module active until turned off.
the joys of modern cars it came about to use less wiring as lighter load fed through switches many pre canbus used a switched return power went to relay and say headlight switch grounded out relay so only a light load going across and main current was from battery to light.

where as old cars70's and before the power went to the actual switch so A was more of a fire risk B took alot heavier wiring.

If you check out LED listings they spec canbus types or non.let me see what ive got in my bookmarks?

Hope that helps!

The benefit of leds far out weigh the little problems at first as ive all leds great not havinbg to worry about tail light out etc if good ones. as some a bit crap in the stop n tail type with how they have made them.

Plus great on trucks now as no longer have trailer lights blowing every time running with an empty 40ft box as bangs on chassis and as you come of brake filament is hot still and pops or a ham fisted docker dumps it on trailer so shakes everything including driver so halve the bulbs go.
