Re: Need my nuts removing

We had the same thing happen on our 207.

Again when trying to extract them the top part of the bolt sheered off. I tried drilling it but was getting nowhere quickly as they were hardened. Annoyingly it was my fault I'd lost the key as I went for a drive after doing the back brakes and forgot to remove the locking wheel nut key from the bolt before going for a run.

I ended up paying the dealer to remove them as I couldn't be bothered sitting trying to drill them out.

How many people take a photo of their wheelnut key and save it to an external email account? This is one of the simplest standbys (aside from ordering a spare or removing them first).

Dynomec in Castleford, West Yorkshire will remove every wheel nut from every make of car.

£10 a corner done in 15 minutes or £150 for the tool plus the bits.

We do loads of these, I have a set of Mac spline tools, they never fail, 20 mins to get them all off, they grap the bit that is larger than the break off part. Locking wheel nuts should be banned :grr:

hi chap i had the same problem if you get hold of an old Citroen socket with 4 pins line up and see which are in line mark the ones that dont fit put the socket in a vice and remove the out of line pins usually leaving you with a 2 pin socket i then put the socket into a impact screwdriver and removed all 4 this may even work with 1 pin left in the socket think of it as a universal Citroen bolt remover

Last one remove today

I ended up hammering a 11mm socket over the top got rachet as close to it as possible and a bit of solid pipe to expand rachet and it came out.

Dam it was in tight had to stand on pipe for it to move.
