I've got the full Virgin Media package (mates rates, have a friend at VM). You're really not missing much at all. I've been reduced to watching "Every which way but loose" on ITV4...

Mike, that's terrible  I hope you have a few good DVDs to watch or perhaps you can revert to Freeview?

No alcohol consumed during cooking today Martin bar a bit of brandy in the mincemeat.. Got some Cointrau to go in the duck tomorrow though... That'll help it get over the shock of what's going to be stuffed up it in the morning...

Mike of the northern persuasion, result :-D

This is the part of Xmas I hate, staying at my in laws. Don't get me wrong, my in laws are lovely, but their shower has all the pressure of a limp wristed handshake, the spare bed needs a new mattress and its a single. Danielle sleeps on the double sofa bed which feels like a slab of concrete.
Worst of all they don't open presents until we've visited her uncle (fair enough) and then spent ages sitting bored at their social club (bah humbug).
Roll on next year where we'll be having everyone over to our new house with decent beds and power showers!

I've had a pretty good 25th.

Slept in, played PM tag with a friend on another forum, eventually went to work at a mate's new place repairing ceilings, came home from work, ate and slept. It was really nice to do stuff at a leisurely pace for someone who genuinely appreciates the job you're doing.

I volunteer myself as the dedicated driver every Xmas day. That way I'm constantly on the go collecting and delivering folk I can't stand . . . but not having to be in their company too long. I don't have to be in the house listening to banal crap all day long, and everyone thinks I'm a star for putting myself out and not having a drink whilst they're getting tipsy.

I daren't tell them the truth, the longer I can keep this up the better. :-D

Well that's the Xmas magic pretty much disposed of. Sat in a social club with everyone drinking drinks they've got at home, its chilly, I've just spilt my appletiser and the barman is rude. Really don't feel like opening presents later. *sigh*
