Hi Andy

Part ordered, should be here tomorrow. Now just debating whether to change it myself? Bit concerned about being sprayed with diesel or needing to bleed the system!

Hi Andy

Part arrived today ... Now debating whether to do the job myself or to take it to a garage. Don't know what will happen if I just unscrew the old valve and don't want to get sprayed with diesel. Not sure if I'll need to bleed the system afterwards either?

Just unscrew it and screw the new one in. If you do not touch the top plastic feed/return pipes it should not leak (much) anyway.

Have a rag underneath.

There's no real pressure in it once its been switched off for a few minutes anyway.
Andy.

Andy

Thanks for your help with this, I owe you a pint!

Job done, easy and quick as you said. I'd have kicked myself if I'd paid someone to do this :-)
