Hi Andrew. I'm based in the land of the red rear plates....Co Kildare, Ireland.
What does the tool look like? Are we talking Citroen proper or aftermarket proper? Also wondering about the "think" bit. What makes you think rather than know?
Front wheel bearing

was a short length of tube ( aprox 2" to 3" inche's, with two pegs protruding from one edge/side, and a plate welded across the other side with a half inch square hole for a half inch drive levering tool to be applied,
well if Andrews other half has had out to do with it, every thing will be completely scrambled, including his brainmacplaxton wrote: Also wondering about the "think" bit. What makes you think rather than know?

Re: Front wheel bearing
Well I've had a look at 3321-T and I'm wondering the main body is around 75mm in diameter. I can see 4 tube sockets for it.
1) 4 peg 72mm for ye olde two 'orse
2) 2 peg 72mm for ye not-so-old ones
3) 2 peg 75mm for Ami 8 & co.
4) 2 peg 80mm for the GS (which I believe does the later 82mm rings as well)
Thanks Malcolm for the notes. I must get this Volvo of mine fully functional so I can pull the hub off the GS again and get some good measurements.

Re: Front wheel bearing
some of the tiils we had at the service agent i worked at had replaceable pegs, others had fixed pegs,
the pegs did quite often break

Re: Front wheel bearing
Was that breakage due to hanging off the end of a long bar or using an impact tool?
I fancy my chances shocking it off with an air impact gun as I don't know anyone with a manual impact driver (such as the Facom Dynapact).
