Will and did the mod this morning, well actually, more Will than I.................

Here's a shot of the fuse box prior to the work beginning.....

Image

As you can see, there is no relay for the wash/wiper this made the job a busy easier......

Image

Lifting the sockets out you can see the wiring underneath

Image

The next few shots show different stages of the wiring process.....

I hope so Jim, although I'm not so sure, We changed the battery for a higher amphere one, but I'm not sure the battery is strong enough, I'll know better tomorrow. When I started her straight back up after getting home from Will's she seemed to take a while to started, almost like she was pumping fuel through.

David, I would like to say it's been a pleasure but it hasn't! The good thing now though is that I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.

If there's any issues with the battery we can try swapping back Steve as I put yours on to recondition soon after you left and it's almost done now. To be honest I think the biggest you can go is about 72ah in yours so we could always try the one from my td if it helps? That spins the td after 2 glowplug runs very easily :)

Unfortunately I won't be will be at work, having said that I won't be leaving until 2pm, so we'll see. I will spin her over later and report back. I will also check the battery connections at the same time as I replace the horns.

I've worked through the horn replacement this morning, out of the 4 I had, I've now got 2 working ones, so that now, instead of the polite 'excuse me' I now have ones that say BOG OFF!!

I'm still not sure about the starter, having said that, I've rechecked the battery connections this morning and whilst not loose, I've had them off and sanded the connections clean, so I'll give it until tomorrow and see what happens 8-[

Two out of four ain't bad... As Meatloaf might have said...

Your 'excuse me' horn reminds me of the Town and Country horns on the DS. A genteel one for urban use and a rorty one for when out in the open!

Fingers crossed on the starter Steve...

Are the battery terminals bad then?

No Jim, I just wanted to eliminate another possibility, it's weird, it seems to be struggling to start but fires first time, almost like the battery isn't powerful enough.
