Re:
Indeed, good point. I know from past experience that a leaky header tank (so common on a V6) that does not allow the cooling system to properly pressurise will do odd things to the temperature gauge reading.addo wrote: It's possible they took the reservoir cap off to check coolant condition and didn't refit properly. If you're not familiar with PSA radiator caps this isn't hard to do. It's also possible a cooling fan or relay is duff.

Re: V6 Xantia......... the beginning of another adventure
Well as I haven't had a chance today to look at it I went to move it around on the drives and another issue appeared.
Dead battery! Looking round what do I see but the boot light on!!!
So popped round to the boot and disconnected it. Will put another battery on tomorrow and see what I can figure out when the others are sorted

Poor old girl, she's all upset and disorientated because she's had a change of owner and moved to a new area...
She'll be missing her old owner...
Old Xantias are like that...

Will the boot light was working correctly, I suspect it's because of the bump.

Let me know if there's anything, which there's bound to be......... she doesn't like stranger, unless you got 'girlie" hands and want to make her better, like 'Uncle Jim's

Hands aren't girly but girlies usually say they know what they are doing so let's see how this one likes them

Well 200ml of antigel stuff and she seems a bit better now. Will run her over to my folks in a bit to double check.
With the backseats down the valve in the LPG tank is certainly quite loud! i forgot how loud they could be but then it is inside a decent sized tank
