Good news on the MOT Steve, excellent :-D

That slight play will have been a drop link I expect...

Yeah, that's my feeling to Jim, I will order a couple of new ones when I order the hoses that have cracked...

That's most kind Steve :-D I'm trying to work out what the things you won't take back are. That's really got me worried now

Did the MOT man not make any comment about the windscreen chip?

I must say it's rather a desirable one and generally very tidy. The LPG makes it rather special too..

I'm not going for it as I already have a good one and mine does so few miles the LPG cannot be justified...

So, who's having it when it's done?
Good question Jim, I suppose I'd better start thinking about a price....... I reckon, the car stands me at around £2,500 without the work that Jim is undertaking for me. Now I know I'm going to lose money the question is how much?

SHe was given a 12 month MOT on Monday with only one advisory which I think is the OSF droplink "play in the balljoint", Jim spotted a couple of hoses that are starting to crack, those will be ordered on Tuesday ready for fitting, she has tax on her untold end of November 2014.

If I run her on petrol I get somewhere in the region of 25/28 mpg, of you run the equation on gas it works out at 47.8 mpg or almost double.........

You can pm me if you want or give me a ring, you can find my number in the Citroenian under C6.

Mike,

If I keep her until then, she won't be going, it's now or never.........simple as that I'm afraid....... Having said that, could be a Christmas present themselves

In some ways your probably right, but I just can't........... it's everything I want in a cruiser and for me, it's just something special

Whilst I love the Xantia, and it's a great car, I think I've lost faith in it, or more importantly, I've lost heart. Don't get me wrong, she can be a bit of a hooligan when she wants to be and the power is certainly there, I think I've just done enough, Save for the gearbox (which Jim is confident is the ECU) she is mechanically sound, You've only got o look at the first page of the blog to see the amount of work that's been done.

The C6 will hardly have lost anything if at all. The xantia though is getting that much rarer, although not at activa levels but getting there :(

An interesting buy with the 407 Coupe Steve, I'm surprised in a way but it looks like a cracking car.

You've certainly had your fair share of Xantia jobs and the next owner is sure to get a cracking car now. Its very desirable, being a S1 V6 on LPG and in a good colour too. Good luck with the sale :-D
