i usually utalise whatever is left of the of the rubber pipe, cut a usable section off, and join it back together with a length of suitable metal/copper pipe,

this way you are extending the pipe as well which can help in stopping it happening again, till the pipe perishes some more,

otherwise if you post me the last 8digits of your chassis/VIN No. i will get the exact price and part No. for your car

Is there anyone nearby who knows how to do this job that is local to this eBay auction, I feel sorry for the seller knowing it's up for sale because of a Doseur valve leak and the seller doesn't trust any local mechanics to get it fixed.

Re: doseur valve removal

Dear All

Finally we have got somewhere with this job, but have again hit an issue.

The pipe that is leaking is the one that comes from the bottom of the valve, and seems to be a long pipe that goes along the bulkhead, and disappears behind the back of the resovoir for the LHm fluid

The pipe seems perished all the way along.
I ordered part number 3 as shown on the diagram provided earleier in the thread and a part just 6cm long arrived being a short bit of rubber pipe. No good at all.

a local has suggested that the pipe is infact the feed to the valve which is also low presure? Therefore when asking for the return I get the wrong part?
On here it is said that there are two return pipes on the top of the valve, but no mention of the one that is underneath.

Any ideas on how to order the right part? / repair

It would appear then that you need this part:

02

5270 Y4
NFP

01 OIL RETURN PIPE
DIAM 4,5X6

Unfortunately no longer available (which is what NFP signifies). It suggests it 4.5mm id, 6mm OD - should be possible to get something from the local factors - some fuel hose or similar. It won't be a feed pipe, as they are all metal, and at high pressure

The Ebay sellers car was successfully repaired using 6mm bore fuel pipe and a plastic 90 degree elbow, the owner is now keeping it :)
of the two pipes coming off the doseur one appears to be a straight run back to the reservoir and the other seems to run between the abs block reservoir and doseur valve, bear in mind that it only has to get from point A to point B or C, it does not need to resemble the original or follow the same route.

the only rubber feed pipe on any hydraulic citroen it the suction supply to the pump from the tank, all other plastic and rubber pipes are returns only,

the main pressure in the system is 2.600psi
