well it sounds like the problem mate :) just waiting to get this injector...20 quid :) hopefully today or tommorrow :)

lol i gota find 20 first lol! spent every penny i got on her now...but i dont care...he said the engines mine anytime i want it....least the pump works ok thou :)

Taffy, I'm late to this but delighted the engine is running again, albeit badly.

I hope the injectors sort it. Likely they got damaged by the same stuff that damaged the pump...

yeah im gettin there jim :)
atleast it runs :) first time ive EVER done a timming belt !! what really got on my nerves thou was the bloodt stater moter bolts and gettin behind it!! and as for the bolts that hold on the torque control arm!!! arrrggg!!! lmao but still enjoyed the job :) funny though as for timming the skf belt kit i bought had instructions...really good ones close to haynes...but it showed a different way to lock the crank...takinng the flywheel cover off gearbox and useing a tool with teeth on to lock to flywheel...i thought il just do what is known to work lol!!

finally got the injector today...it was pissing it down but i diddn care....fitted it...still the same...i just closed the hood and walked away for today....really not sure whats happening...one thing thats really bugging me is the cam lock...it can move its not deep enough i dont think....but it runs but sounds like its on three and bellowing white smoke...il have another look morrow

to conclude this (have another post which i finished on) one of the rockers had snapped causein these symptoms...if in any doubt check ur glow plugs..one was wet and lifted the rocker cover again and unluckly one snapped after i had checked them all...how unlucky lol!

Nice find taffy... but do this BEFORE putting the cam cover back on... turn the engine over by hand on the crank bolt with exfensions and a ratchet and be 100% certain that the engine will do a full cycle on all four cylinders before fitting the cover.. you will know then it be fine to turn the key..

With a broken rocker she cant open a valve to suck air in to compress to ignite.. a lexia shouldnt be needed but prehaps at a rally to clear exsisting faults if she is happy on full power once running..
