I'm not a fan (to put it mildly) of Haynes manuals, but they do usually have a few useful photos and drawings. I've got the Xantia (93-98) service manual and two different ones covering the 1.7 and 1.9 engines, but now I could do with one that covers the XUD11 engine (in any vehicle).
Any suggestions please?

Re: 2.1 (XUD11) manual
Guy, get the BoL (Haynes) for the XM. That one covers the 2.1 engine quite well by Haynes standards.
For Activa owners it also does a fair job of the TCT too..
Else that, look on the 'bay for the pukka Citroen booklet... They do occasionally come up...
Beware getting an XM BoL though - you may end up wanting an XM

Re: 2.1 (XUD11) manual
Jim, thanks for yet another valuable tip. Looks like I'll be keeping an eye on flee-bay and our local charity bookshop. I really ought to get rid of some of my old workshop manuals: anyone for a genuine Rootes set of workshop manuals for Hillman Minx/Hunter? Volvo 140? Triumph 2000? Avenger? (No, not Emma Peel). Ought to collectors items by now. My quartet of Maestro/Montego manuals only have curiosity value as surviving manuals now outnumber surviving cars!
As for an XM (would have to be a 2.1 estate) - I was sorely tempted by Chris's red one a few months ago, but it was a long way away for a start. Now sadly, we are on the lookout for long-term replacement for the Green Lady (the VSX is only a stop-gap).
