C5 vibration help

Ok old drive shaft removed and had a look in the middle joint and there was not muh grease in there. There was a lot of rusty looking stuff in there and water droplets possibly from when I damaged the engine in the floods.

New shaft not fitted due to not being correct it was too short. It was a Shaftec C185AR one so got to wait till new one comes.

Tried googling the part number sent to find some specs to see if maybe boxed wrong, looked at a few sites and it states it should fit my car.

That middle joint on the rare occasion they fail can make some very odd vibes.In the past I have spent a lot of time tracking the problem.

Defo sounds rubbish when holding the shaft and moving it around, just looking on internet now trying to find a replacement one. Found a few helpful sites.

Manged to get the correct length drive shaft in the end from GSF, was the only place that could get one and tried, Unipart, Parkers, SAS and Euro's. Dealer could of got a recon one for £180 but would take 3 to 4 days.

Paid £58 in the end what a bargain me thinks, and vibration and shaking all gone (I hope).
