I'm a pump-off, fix it 100% advocate (but didn't want to burden you with this attitude). If you do, make sure to examine how it's aligned, first.

Yes, the Service.Citroën exploded diagram is wrong in how it lays out the collets and cone nuts.

Has anyone got a 4026 88 O-ring going spare they want to sell?

Citroen want to sell a minimum of 5 pieces!!!

Trying to work out what size it is. It states 19-TO 2.4mm

I assume this means 19mm. To Outside with a 2.4mm. section.

Would a 14mm internal 2.5mm. section O-ring suffice?

Thoughts/verbal abuse please!

Or if anyone needs one, let me know and I can post for cost+postage. Payment by PayPal.

Roger, I'd not try any old ring in this position as it's critical. Some O rings are not LHM resistant.

Five won't cost the earth and you can always sell what you don't need on here. Someone will have them.

Looks to me like the accumulator is past it, sounds it too based on the click rate. I'd say the pressure is spiking when the regulator lets fluid through (because of a flat accumulator) which - along with old o-rings - could well be the cause of the leak.

Are you suggesting that a replacement accumulator could be the cure and stop the leak?

It's certainly not helping Roger. Dom makes a good pint there but I'd still replace the O ring as they do go regularly..

What a complete bar steward!

At my mates at the moment doing the o-ring and the car appears to have p*ssed out all its green blood.

I've depressurised the system so I assumed, rightly or wrongly, that the LHM loss would have been minimal.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there is, in fact, NO ball bearing in the pump and until all the LHM drains out, I ain't gonna know.

This is perhaps the reason why the car is clicking so regularly.

Surely with such low pressure in the system I only need to press on the spring and the flow should STOP, which, it isn't doing.

Any thoughts on these comments, guys!

Anyone know the diameter of the ball bearing!!!

And is it a standard steel one or anything special?
