Wow, that's exactly the same story!
Just the difference is:
I live on an island in Africa and cars are not disposable as in Europe.
So I HAVE to fix it and can't just scrap it :(

I think I'm gonna take out the gearbox and check the oilpump and -filter.
As from my logical understanding it can't be anything else than that.

Best regards,
Rod

Be careful when reseating the torque converter - you have to push and turn, push and turn as it goes in several "notches" one after another. Failure to observe will break the oil pump input drive.

Hi, thanks for the info!

It can't be the pump, has to be the oilfilter. So I just ordered today the oilfilter and a set of seals...
Hope to get it down to Africa next week and then I'm gonna have my fun with the "frentch engineering"

Check the input bushings for wobble, earlier ones can be worn.

Hey folks,

just wanted to leave my feedback:

I've fixed the issue. Have had removed the geaboxed, changed filter, replaced housing gasket, replaced the TC bushing and seal.
Unfortunately got a wrng size O-ring for the oilpump so had to put the old one. Now it's leaking a little, guess it's the old o-ring.
But the car drives perfectly now. Haven't had the time to cut open the old filter though...

Cheers
Rod
