2 seconds probably about the sensible maximum time. I meant if its really far off it will not always stop it ( ! ) or just slow it down enough for it to actually stall rather than stopping it.

You can check the anti stall is OK with a cold engine rev to 2.5K or and take foot off quickly to let the revs drop. It should not stall. Repeat with a warm engine. On the road this is the same as slowing down for a junction etc obviously, too low anti stall and it will cut out.

Star Malc. Don't know how you got all that info from service Citroen.

I put the part number in and although the part began life in 1979, it only showed me documents for ZX and XM.

How do you find the alternative part number?

firstly i did a general search under MK1 XANT, find the part No., copy and paste it into the part No. search box after scrolling all the way up, top right of the page,
click search it will give you some resultsfor variouse XANTS, above these click all families search,
no click ok to the pop up box which give the list of all models it fits

Malc. Just wondering why you would do a general search under Xant when car is a ZX?

Followed your lead and it gives the part no you gave but there seems to be cross-referencing on the service site.

Clip is no doubt identical but just noticed that ZX is not in the list. Is there any way things can be better cross-refers on service site?

Also, any idea how you return to general vehicle search after you've had a VIN no in?

Not very intuitive the service site!

i did a general search in MK1 XANT for the clip fitted to the XANT as you said the part No. for the ZX one is NFP ( no longer available ),

and im sure the XANT one will fit,

to go back to the screen will all model selection on, in the menu at the left of the screen click " New "
