I don't think a 12v one's going to be much use. You need at least 18v, preferably 24v. You're unlikely to get anything that's much good for £40. I bought a sealey one a year or so ago and it's very tough and reliable. I still use the 600mm breaker bar to crack the wheelnuts first, but it does them up perfectly. Miss it when I forget to charge it up.

What's it like?
pretty good, i had to use a breaker bar on the wheel nuts thanks to the gorilla that tightened then up but its been ok for everything else =D>

hi all i'm speedy3 I am a mobile mechanic in borough green Kent I use the liftmaster 12v impact wrench all the time with no problems I have even checked the torque settings with a torque wrench and it's been spot on

I wouldn't mind one of those but I don't really do enough work to justify one now, as I get older I buy a longer breaker bar, I'm up to 3' so far.

I have a 14 volt Dewalt one, its pretty good, way better than I thought it would be.
BXs since 1993 built 1.9 TZD turbo, got a S2 Xantia estate, brilliant car! 2013, Xantia HDI LX 110 2000 new car with 122,000, l C2 HDI Rusty rocket, C3 Picasso HDI new to me.
