What engine has it got?

And btw., it's a cool car, but it'll never be a french coupe with a wing and the Kamm tail design cool :P

Thanks!
It's a T5

True and also I don't like analogue speedos!

However, it is almost silent at speed doesn't rattle & crash over todays poor road surfaces and and would leave the VTS in a cloud of tyre smoke! (still love the VTS anyway)

Oh, a T5, then it's not *that* bad
How do you like a turbo after the N/A? What about gear ratios, does it have ridiculously long first gear like the VTS?

Haha
It has so much torque that there is pretty much no turbo lag at all so if you didn't know it was a turbo, you wouldn't guess.
It has a six speed box with top gear being about 30mph per 1000k rpm. You don't need first at all!

I like the high first gear on the VTS, when I worked in London, there was a roundabout on the way after which I would overtake lorries by changing down to first as it's good for about 45mph.

Incidently the C30 is smaller than the VTS in every direction which I like!

That's sure a good thing! Nothing worse than driving a car with a noticeable turbo lag.

I'm not sure I'm catching up. Why wouldn't you need the first gear? You mean the second is short enough and torque is high enough or what? 8-[

Yup, first gear on the VTS is basically a second gear in any other car

Hmm, VTS is not a big car to start with. How does the C30 feel to drive compared to the VTS?

That's it, the T5 has so much torque it will easily start in any of the first three gears.

It's very different to the VTS to drive, first impressions are that it is so very quiet at any speed and no crashing and rattling over poor road surfaces. In the VTS to make good progress one must be in the right gear to keep the revs above 4k RPM whereas the T5 will pull strongly almost from idle. I know that the high revving character of the VTS makes it fun, but it can get a bit wearing. In the T5 it is far easier to take an overtaking oppertunity that presents itself unexpectedly as most of the time it will just pick up without dropping a cog. I haven't had a chance to drive the T5 on any properly twisty roads to see what the roadholding/handling are like yet.
One aspect that is much better in the C4 is the fixed hub steering wheel making the cruise, trip computer and stereo controls fall to hand easily at all times. The T5 doesn't show the speed set on cruise and doesn't have a speed limiter another point to the C4. I also much prefer the digital speedo as it seems like guessing with the analogue dial.

So it's a bit more appropriate as a daily but not as fun as a weekend car?

It too looks nice in a way that it's different than a typical car. I like the dual exhaust pipes!
Care to record a video of sound comparison between it and the VTS? :)

Both are good as a daily or weekend car IMO
I'd be up for it!
I already did one of the VTS on instagram, not sure if link will work let me know. If it doesn't I'll put it on youtube.
