It looks the exact same right enough. I thought the pulley would have been covered. The only difference between our cars is your full leather. I'm quite happy with my part leather, and they are comfy. My daughter drove my one today, she has an astra sri 150 cdti, and usually does not hand about, she was impressed with the acceleration, was slating the steering wheel until she did drive. She could be persuaded into one now, her astra has done 100k, it's 08 reg, but she would need diesel for her 30k a year. Could be arranged!

I agree, it doesn't seem that safe with the bonnet open & engine running. Sometimes I wish i had a diesel as I'm doing about 600 miles a week ATM, then I put my foot down!
I really like the standard VTS interior with the X-Ray cloth, leather & alcantara, my old one was like this & much less slippy in the corners. The thing I really think looks so much better on yours is the door cards as the insert is alcantara & looks (& feels) really nice, mine has the leather & looks a bit plasticy (see photo) Not complaining though as there is almost nothing I don't like about the VTS!

I actually quite like that, gives a smart look along with the leather. Perhaps a little slippery?

I'll have to dig a pic of the Loeb out - red! :-D

I've never had leather in a car. Thought about it a few times when I had the c5, especially after the cat got locked into it for two days and had pissed, pooped and sprayed all over the seats. Never got the smell out! Never mind the guy that bought it wanted it to transport his dog about. My seats hold me in place very well, but not extreme. Sports seats from something like a subaru or similar, I cannot fit into, they are too hard. The vts seats are still soft enough to be comfortable whilst holding you in place. They are not too narrow, I'm 6feet and 18 stone and fit perfectly. I am sitting on leather at the moment, like it ok on the couch but think it might be slidey in a car.

Useless cropped photos alert...

Pre-facelift. Suede finish around the switches and door pull and some red stiching to the top "bolster" area:

Facelift. Red material finish around the switches and door pull - matches the rest of the interior:

Love the red on the door arm rest!

Thanks! I think there are now 5 black Coupes.
The exhaust was from Longlife, original quote was £390, but with discount for being a premier member of a certain C4 forum, it cost £350 for complete system with choice of "sound" and tip, I could have had an oval similar to the original. I thought it was worth it as it has a lifetime guarantee & the originals don't seem to last very long. I was also told that if I didn't like the sound (I thought to start with it would be too loud) they would change the centre box to make it quieter at no cost.

I've got a longlife cat back stainless system on my doblo Jtd , a bargain at £150 with lifetime guarantee . I've had a price for the Zx which is around the £350 mark .

That was a real bargain for the Fiat. Also sounds a good price for the ZX, I think the C4 exhaust is expensive as the original is so massive!

That was an excellent price Mark - out of interest who was that by?

I have been thinking about a Stainless Steel System and got quoted £350 from Longlife in Peterborough, which is handy as it's fairly local. I can't help thinking though that it's still quite expensive on the face of it. I know that it's got the lifetime guarantee etc but I still think it's on the high side. If I had the VTS then I think it would be reasonable due to the huge expense that their system's are, but my C4s exhaust is reasonably priced being the VTi 120...

I'd probably go for it if it was around £150-£200...

Out of interest, I came across this the other day - good value I thought for a backbox replacement for a VTS. Lots of different ends too.

I've been quoted £369 for a complete cat-back stainless steel for the vts, from a local company up here called Turriff Tyres, who have an excellent reputation. Thats with a choice of loud or louder, and choice of tailpipes. I will be going for this in the very near future, going to upgrade the air intake as well, can't decide if I'll go the whole hog induction kit, or just a K&N panel filter.

The stainless system on the doblo was fitted by Hawleys tyres & exhausts in Sheffield , it was a very good price , too good to miss . I've also had a stainless system fitted to a previous doblo van by a Sheffield company called Exhausts UK , they do allsorts from custom cars , American stuff and even Hgv's , the only difference was that their systems are fully welded and there are no joints . I think the exhaust boxes had cobra sport pressed into it , again a lifetime guarantee and very good quality too . As soon as I have the funds the Zx will be getting a stainless on .

I'm not sure I could live with the noise of an induction kit & probably will stick with a panel filter. There is a lot of discussion about removing the resonator, but again could be noisy & when you start to "modify" insurance can be expensive.
I have read about a New Zealand company who tested the 206GTI with an induction kit & with Pipercross panel filter & got better results with the latter. I believe the engine & induction system is the same as on C4 VTS 180.
Can't find the original article now, but read the quote on this website here.

Just going to stick with the airbox and panel filter. Didn't realise they had a complex air intake system, and not really wanting to stray too far away from standard.
