Enjoy Davie.

It'd only 9.51am here in Bogota. I arrived about 12 midnight after about 20 hours travelling. Long delays at New York. Arrived and went straight to a pre wedding party. Seem to have gone to bed about 5 local time. Ouch.

I feel like a pig shat in my head.

Just been out around Bogota. Everyone is wearing a football shirt for the game today. I've just picked up my wedding suit.

Relevant to here because there's simply loads, loads of old Renault and Pugs. Seen some 4s, many R6s, lots of R18s and a few nice estates too. I might go spares shopping and get some parts for the DRK.

The nice roller that was the wedding car. I loved the dip switch for dip main beam. A bloody great big lever that swivelled the lights down! A lovely weekend had by all, even my wee granddaughter was good at 11 weeks old. The groom had a laugh with sunglasses, a flat cap, a kilt, and socks round his ankles! They had a traditional ceilidh band interspersed with a disco. I was absolutely knackered by the time it finished, and came home today and had to go to bed. I probably will suffer for a day or two, that's just how I am just now.

That looks like a truly beautiful day, and it looks as though everybody enjoyed themselves. That Rolls Royce is a mechanical work of art, to be relished and savoured. You may suffer for it, but that will be soon forgotten, while the memories of the day will live on.

More mot woes. My daughter informed me on Friday that her car is booked in at my usual mot place on Monday for its MOT and that her brakes were pulling to one side. Cue today then, my son jacked it up and back brakes taken apart, cleaned and lubricated and back together no problems. Then jack up front. Drivers side caliper off, pads out, outside pad as new and disc face very slightly worn. Inside pad about 2 mm left and disc face (-expletive removed-). New discs and pads needed then but lubed up and hope to get mot with an advisory. Passenger side, caliper off outside pad fell out and friction material fell off the pad. Oooopppsssss.
.. No pads then. No mot tomorrow I would think. Unless I can get a set of pads and discs delivered and fitted and car driven 25 miles before 3 pm. The race is on! I think I will lose!!!!!

Nearest vauxhall garage 25 miles away, nearest halfords 30 miles, motor factors 30 odd miles. Och just a wee travel about in the C5 in the morning, home by 10 fixed by 11, and do a citrojim that would include 4 cuppas!

It might be worth checking out this lot (including their nearest location);

http://www.eurocarparts.com/store-locator" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I found out that Halfords use them if they don't have the parts themselves.
