Have good fun with the new car (and I do mean that in the right way). Do you know if it has the hydro pneumatic suspension?

Yes, it's not an X7, one of the last mk2's. I hope it's ok, there wasn't much details on the e-bay add, but I phoned the seller before I put in my bid.

That looks really good Davey! I like the C5 with C4 headlamps & the rear lights look great too. Very unusual in white, probably almost as much of a PIA to keep clean as black!

I'll give you £39.50 and another chippy supper for the C2.daviemck2006 wrote:Well on Saturday I shall be off on some travels to pick up the next motor I shall own. C5 2.0 HDI 138 on a 07 registration with 108K covered. Looks ok on photos, and seller says mechanically sound. In Ayr, so not too far to travel, train costs £36 and takes 5 hours, and I'll drive home from there in 4 hrs. Just a nice day out. Best, bit, the price. Less than a grand, even with train down and diesel home and a chippy supper! Bad bit, MOT only to mid june. Now does anyone want a C2 with the fullest service history ever seen, a newly repaired gearbox, new battery and broken front springs? Free new springs included but not fitted![]()

That's normal around here. Davie, good luck with the new motor

For the first time in 33 years, I do not own a car.

Re: Davie's french attraction.

The C2 at 4 pm this afternoon after a clean and before it got sold. 2nd time I have sold a car to a youngish lassie and 2nd time there has been no hassle. I told her the good the bad and the ugly, she loves it she hands over the asking price. Finished.

A sincere wish of a lot of us Davie...daviemck2006 wrote:For the first time in 33 years, I do not own a car.

She's a lucky lassie. That's a lovely job you did on the C2.
Re: Re: Davie's french attraction.
I agree wholeheartedly with Jim. They're a pain in the arse. Sadly they are necessary, so one might as well have something interesting.CitroJim wrote:A sincere wish of a lot of us Davie...daviemck2006 wrote:For the first time in 33 years, I do not own a car.I'd be happy without one...
If I could live without one, I would. I love cars, always have. Got to a stage in my life now where I just want transport. That is all. I don't want to drive everywhere at 150mph or go as fast as I can all the time, or spend too much time fixing stuff.
It's considerably cheaper and infinitley better than public transport though.
