I dont think it can get much worse Jim. I'm not in a positive frame of mind just now, but not too bad either.

Chris it's not a Suzuki vitara :-D

Jim it's not a maestro/montego. I thought they have a 2.0 diesel O series. Certainly not an xud anyway

The winter solstice has been and gone - that was yesterday. Summer is on its way, day by day, chipping away at the days as the daylight gets longer.

Thinking about it Davie, you said it was 1902cc so I'll go for a Fiat Doblo? :)

Nope, I deffo said 1905 xud. The correct vehicle has been mentioned. It is still with its previous keeper just now in Southend on sea. It shall be getting driven to Liverpool at some point between xmas and new year, then hopefully it can get driven up over the border the next week where I shall be awaiting for it. It has 596 miles to cover from there to here, 3 x 200 mile stints will see it here, and a few miles into the north sea looking for prawns :rofl2: :rofl2:

I recall there was mention (quite some time back) of converting a van into a camper van? If so, the Sherpa would be a good choice, especially with an XUD lump up front.

It's going to be into the new year before I see this. It's a rover 218d which cost me the princely sum of £7. Plus I sent the previous keeper £50 to fill it of fuel. A kind man is going to pick it up from southend and drive it to Liverpool. After it is there I shall decide if I will get there for it, or see if some other kind soul could drive it from there to the borders. If there was not this covid rubbish on the go I would have already been ob an orange bird to pick it up. I dont know how easyjet makes any money, Inverness to Luton £19!

Jim, I've not posted the failed ballast unit to you yet, because I have been told that I need to get a code lifted from it to transfer onto the new unit in the car to get it working properly. I have a funny feeling I am going to have to go to a seat or vw dealer to get it working properly, although my MOT man says he is not worried if the lights dont self level, as long as they are pointing in the correct direction.

The fleet are all needing maintenance. The leon, the lights done (maybe) two tyres and a MOT booked for 12th Jan

Hilux developed a power steering leak. MOT due 14th Feb

Bora needs discs and pads definitely rear, probably all 4, got them in stock, one track rod end, got 2 in stock.

The rover is getting transported to me, should be here on Monday. Its costing a bit more than I would have liked to put out to get it here, but as it only cost me £7 so far and £63 as a deposit for the transport then that's ok. As far as I am aware the only thing broken on it is the speedometer doesn't work. It is suffering the usual red lacquer peel which seems so common on red cars from the 90's. I am not really expecting any other issues.
