And, with all of the glass a C4 GP has, you can also use it as a greenhouse!

I actually prefer the old style Picasso, but I can't fit a mountain bike in the back without taking it apart, and I don't do bike racks, or similar appendages hanging off vehicles.

Re: Davie's french attraction.
I have no idea why my photos load sideways! Thats from both the tablet and the phone. Its a bit annoying. I shall have to try to remember which way to hold the phone so they come out correctly, but then ill probably have everyone standing on their heads hahaha. Funnily enough I dont have this problem on other forums that still allow me to usr tapatalk (just a little dig cos Im not in good form right now!!!!!!!)

I have not Jim, I'll probably use it as a part-ex then I don't have to deal with selling it myself.

Re: Davie's french attraction.
I'm going to take a punt on a 100k mile 1.6 HDi manual, which has had a recent timing belt and a full dealer history. My logic being, that if it's got to 100k, there can't be a huge amount wrong with it. Can't find an auto non-EGS one for love or money down here!daviemck2006 wrote: 01 Nov 2017, 18:18 That should make for a fine replacement fot bertie the blingo. I sold the BMW relatively painlessly, to a Portuguese bloke who came from Southampton for it. I'd advertised it for way more than I wanted, so told him prior to him setting off that if he turned up with cash, didn't mess me about , I would take £700 for it and not a penny less and not to ask (Think I'd advertised it for £950). So, he turned up with cash and drove away.
The Peugeot is a different kettle of fish. Similar ones with similar miles but not as much history are up for sale at dealers for £1500-1900, amazingly. I've been offered £750 part ex for it, which, after I only paid £1300 for it and have spent little on it, doesn't seem so bad just to not have the hassle of selling it myself. It needs paint on the bumper corners, but that's all. It's clean and drives spot on.

Re: Davie's french attraction.
And you still wound yourself up unnecessarily Jim. I think I will be her last owner, I will run her untill she is uneconomic to keep going. I was thinking yesterday that I could lease a new car for maybe £200 per month, or keep gabby going by laying by 50 quid every month to pay for repairs, and be much more comfy in gabby than I would be in some poxy corsa or fiesta type of thing, at 1/4 the price!

Re: Davie's french attraction.
Mike, if you were to advertise the 207 for say 950 prepared to take the same 750 you are getting p-ex you would just get the chancers offering you 500 tonight mate, or how much for cash, or its got a scratch there and it needs a tyre so ill give 600 and all that crap. You may eventually get 800, is it worth the hassle? Unless you really need every penny then do the simple thing. I wish I could still afford to do that. Ive got the berlingo van sitting here with no mot, needing an axle and a windscreen and I cant be arsed. I think the scrappy will get phoned, come and get it.

I'd actually happily keep it if I had somewhere off-road to store it then I could save on the tax and insurance until it's needed again, as it's a sound little car. I'm not doing multicar as the prices are utterly hilarious - I'm paying £290 for the Focus and £197 for the 207. If I do multicar with 3, from any of the named multicar providers, it's heading towards 1500 quid. Sod that!
It's advertised on FB at the mo for £1250, I have had a couple of messers..

Well that's me

Mike, all best on the 207 sale... I won't be selling mine any time soon. Although I prefer the Saxo the old 207 has quite grown on me and will be staying for an extended period, even if she sees little use she's an ideal second/bad winter weather car...

Re: Davie's french attraction.
I have just received two boxex containing presents for Gabby. I thank the gentlemen who sent them. She is still down in the lockup that was vacated by lilpug to give her a run. I did over 40 miles in her out of town yesterday and I am amazed how good her headlights are, with no fancy aids. She has got auxiliary driving lamps fitted when she got the gti front end on, but they are not wired up, and to be honest she does not need them. I an now considering getting a wiring kit, and lower wattage bulbs and wiring them as daylight running lights. If I get a proper kit then they will go off when the headlights are switched on so they shouldnt dazzle when on even though tbey are driving lamps, not the fog lamps I initially thought they were.
