Yes, odd how it was every afternoon... Every morning was glorious... It was almost as if the rain gods were taking the mornings off or just getting up late...

Last week was definitely interesting...think there was only one day I didn't get soaked when walking the dog. He'd repeatedly just about dry out from the day before then repeated the cycle...

It's been weird here too chucking it down one minute then summer the next on an endless loop. Today was normal and tomorrow it's meant to chuck it down. I'm really enjoying the morning mist clinging to the contours of the fields. Shame it's so cold in the morning right now, it makes me want to stay in bed.

I eventually looked at the berlingos mot today, and discovered its due one month tomorrow. I thought it was before that. I dont care really, I am not going to mot it. A friend is getting to borrow it as their fraud (-expletive removed-) has ran into mechanical problems, and he needs transport. Beryl will keep them mobile untill he gets the fraud going again. Lilpug is in hibernation, although still taxed insured and tested, she will get awakened for a bit of exercise on a dry day here and there. Which leaves pigpug and Gabby fighting for my affections. I have fallen for Gabby far more than I did the activa, God knows how I prefer the poverty spec 1.9td over the top of the show activa! Probably the leather helps hugely, and the engine. The first, and best peugeot engine I had was a 1.9xud turbo in an 806, and I drove lots of miles in 1.9td 406 taxis. The xud in my opinion is more characterful than the hdi with better low down pull which is why i like it so much. To be honest I didnt really bond with the activa, I just dont like green pumps and 23mpg. Black pump and 55mpg is far better!

I was staggered to find that the pump hadn't been turned up in her case with the way she pulls.

Really glad you're so happy with her.

I know she's been in Jim's care for a year and he's done ten times more work on her than I did, but she's one I still feel some attachment to - and just a hint of pride that I probably saved her from the auction house - and given the dead fan at the time and traffic down here, probably a scrapper only days later...

Me too! But I know that pump has never been touched... Her engine is just remarkable...

Likewise :D and after the Activa fiasco, much relieved too!

Pigpug! Clearly Gabs is winning.
Interesting on the leather. Personally I think Xantia leather is a huge disappointment compared to the cloth seats on both comfort and driving position. Still not swapping mine to cloth though, that would be weird.

In the case of S2 leathers I'm inclined to agree James but Gabby's are from an early S1 VSX and are very good indeed. Almost as good as genuine S1 Activa leathers...

Our bums disagree slightly Jim.
The best Xantia seats by miles are the Mk1 Vsx and Activa Cloth ones. They are the lowest to the floor and have the comfiest bases.
S1 Mechanical leathers get my 2nd place with the electric ones following up in 3rd (they would be equal but the mechanical ones go lower which is the position I like).
All S2 seats come last, I don't like them.

I'm not able to place S1 Activa leathers yet as I've not driven in them but they are very nice as a passenger.

I have to agree that S1 Activa cloth seats that have good bolsters (now rare!) are indeed very good indeed :)

Davie, I've just taken delivery of a large polystyrene box :D

I've already sampled the contents of said box and it's jolly delicious... I just could not resist opening the box immediately and enjoying part of the contents even though it's nowhere near lunchtime :)

The taste is just awesome :D

I'll be having more for proper lunch after I've enjoyed a bike ride on this glorious day...

Thank you so much and so, so appreciated :D

And this is the contents of the box:

I've obviously still got some more to come from Xantialand, since we've got S2 electric leather in ours and I find it superbly comfortable.

I think once in position the S1 cloth we removed were cosier, but the material somehow didn't agree with my clothes & made it a bit of a game getting comfy in the first place. The S2 leather while a bit less cosseting, at least allows you to just sit in and be comfortable straight away.

If I ever get a shot at Activa or S1 manual leather I trust I'm in for even more comfort and luxury :D (and know who to blame if I'm disappointed! :rofl2: )
