You did James, nothing finer :)

I've owned three of them. The only true "magic carpet" ride of any Citroen.

Don't say that until you've ridden in Gabriel... Best riding Citroen I've ever known and she's not even a hydractive...

She truly is like riding a magic carpet... I hesitate to say this for fear of being tied to a post and whipped with 3.5mm hydraulic pipe but she rides equally as good as any DS, GS, BX or CX I've ridden in.

Reckon she must have golden spheres :) I must look and see exactly what's fitted to her one of these days...

I have an admission to make.... I only ever sat in one Xantia and that was a 2.0 litre petrol I think. It was a newish hire car and I had to go to Manchester and back. All I remember is the gearchange was a bit awkward and it gobbled petrol!

I'm getting the list of faults/jobs to do to the 407. Get maps for the sat nav. MOT for 17th May. Probably two new tyres on the front. They are Bridgestone, 3mm in the middle feathered a bit on outside edges, left side one worse than the right. Rears look very recent khumo. Get a new spare wheel, or the crack on the inside welded, it is still hard and is a full size alloy. There's a corner of the double glazed passenger front window discoloured white. Investigate timing belt and water pump. It's 10 years old and 81k so I would expect it to need a belt. That's it all, and considering it was like 7 to 800 pounds cheaper than it should have been that will make it about right by the time that's all done.

Ive just ordered two uniroyal rain expert 3 tyres from Camskill for the big pug. The variation in prices found for the same tyres is unbelievable! Ok so i need to pay fitting but a local man does it for a tenner a tyre, but they were 91 each. The most expensive online were 140 each. A different local tyre man, the only one who supplies uniroyal, 180 each! Massive difference for the same thing! They may not get fitted yet, but i decided to buy them when i saw them at such a good price.

Ive ordered a 2017 rt3 disc Steve. Does it pop into the cd slot on the headunit and download into an internal hard drive?

It goes into the headunit and stay's there, It reads the disc as your driving, or as you set an address.

The RT3 can be changed out for the later RT4/5 but it means changing the screen and cabling, plus you're looking at around £500 to do it (ballpark figure).

So the previous owner must have kept the maps disc, as the navigation has been used, there is previous destinations in the memory. Strange thing. I will leave it up to you to decide if I'm talking about the rt3 or the previous owner lol.

Taking of strange things, our 107. It's using/leaking oil problem. It went through a spell as you know id needing a litre of oil every 1000 miles. For the last 4 weeks it has done over 2000 miles and not needed a drop of oil. It's had nothing done to it at all, just driven. I can't figure it out. The exhaust is still holding no problem after the time I wired it up in the rain lol
