All going to be diet soon apparently if the article I read (BBC news if I remember rightly) is correct...Dumping a large portion of the sugar and replacing it with "other sweeteners" instead.

As someone who is intolerant to the majority of the artificial sweeteners (any diet drinks in anything other than *tiny* doses give me really severe headaches or sometimes full on migraines).

Suffice to say, as a long standing customer and Bru drinker I'm a bit hacked off at the news.

I'll avoid reading that article Zel.

My ticket app gave me plane ticket dated today and train yesterday. The train tickets were only valid on the 15th so I had to buy more today. I will get most of the money back. I'm home, in bed absolutely knackered and a back in agony. Train/easy jet seats not the comfiest things to sit on nor are any of the seats in Luton dump sorry airport.

Easy jet used to just about qualify as passable...Then they brought in the Airbus A319s they're currently using on most of the domestic services...They are horrendously uncomfortable. On par with a current gen VW. The old 737s were just fine.

Glad you're back home safely, hope you're feeling more yourself again after a decent rest.

Davie, I'm so sorry it was too late for me when you called to arrange a visit :( Would have loves to have seen you but at least we had a good natter on the phone...

That's a bugger with the tickets... I trust it can all be resolved...

I lied. Didn't sell it. Got a v6 conversion then washed it and it shrank Image

Quite agree. We flew to/from the UK with British Airways for Christmas, and the A319 was a really nasty experience. BA had packed in so many seats, it was like travelling in a zipped-up sleeping bag! A good few passengers were actually too wide for the seats (6-across, and a very narrow aisle - impossible to squeeze past a service trolley). The seats no longer recline (a consequence of putting so many in).

I think the A319 is essentially a 5-across plane. Business class got no better. What are you up to BA??

We got stuck on an A319 for 7 hours once. Couldn't land due to bad weather. I was ready to explode, it was like an oven on there.

Yes, not before time - one person's comfort was always the person behind's discomfort.
It's just the "sardine" strategy that is so objectionable.
Even a brief delay after boarding or on the tarmac is awful.
For us to winge here is pointless. Complain to BA and others, and keep on doing so. Only that way will anything change.

That must have been the most uncomfortable plane journey. The plane was full, i was in the centre seat one from the back, im a big guy and the guy at each side was as big as me and I literally could not move for an hour and a half. Its these budget flights, cram in as much as possible. Stuff comfort pile them in like sardines.

If you want cheap flights, that is the downside. You get what you pay for. I ca bear cheap flights for up to about 90 mins or 2 hours at a push. Other than that it's better ones!

You have just illustrated why I never fly nor leave these shores Davie...

I have no intention of going overseas ever again. I shall spend the rest of my life now on the British mainland... Unless it has a characterful bridge to get to it like Anglesey has or has a railway connection as per France or Belgium ;)

You may be able to stand 90 minutes but my tolerance is around 90 nanoseconds
