So it was you who make it rain then!

It did not get washed lol. Note how a strategically placed scaffolding bar nearly hides the wheels for the haters hahaha

I know of a sure fired, guaranteed way to make it rain during the summer months. England are playing cricket (well, or badly, it does not matter), Wimbledon is in progress, people are cleaning and waxing their cars, and then somebody says "Shall we have a barbeque or go down to the seaside?". WHAM!!! Instant monsoon!

I like that Davie! As you know I am generally a fan of aftermarket wheels anyway, but those really suit the Xantia.

Months as in when the Met Office says the UK is now in summer (and not when the weather proves them liars again!).

I know you like aftermarket wheels Peter, so do I. I've had these wheels on a couple of times now, they are too far in directly on, I had a set of hubcentric 20mm spacers from the c4 days, they were too wide really so I bought 10mm spacers. They also have 215 section tyres rather than 205 and look just right width wise. I think I shall attempt lowering the height corrector, not by much, maybe 10mm at the rear and 20mm at the front. I've always thought this car looks a little nose up. I am not doing anything way out, just subtlety will do me. No great big stickers like I had on the c4. I've a black Leon for a daily that may well get silly orange wheels and orange check roof and,,,,,,,,,,,haha

It's still dirty, but got a working heater now! I'm not washing it even though it's near a perfect car cleaning day. I've been sorting the fan and doing washing and housework and the hands are at their limit so the car can stay dirty for now.ImageImageImage
That's it at high, low and normal.Image
That's one as it was rising from low to normal. I'm debating in my head to lower the height correctors a bit to get it sitting a bit lower. Is this possible or will it muck up the suspension?

Looks a bit high at the front to me - but difficult to tell with those funny wheels on

Dirty? Mine's not even that clean when it's been washed!! Currently you can chisel the crud off in lumps....

I've always thought it's high at the front regardless of whichever wheels of 3 different sets are on it. The tyres on these exaggerate the high look, 215/45x17 on the back and 215/40x17 on the front. But all tyres are as new, so I'll just have to scrub off the front ones with enthusiastic driving then get another set the same as the rear.

I'm looking at that just now and some bugger must have caught it sitting down in the car park at my daughters there's a crease on the trim on the door that wasn't there before. There was a little ding on the wheel arch but it's getting painted anyway. That's bloody annoying. It's down there because I can't get it in the garden for the scaffolding, and I thought it would be safer there because there's soon going to be vans and lorries all over this street doing my walls and my neighbours walls

More pictures! I thought to start with you'd popped over to Paris for a pic outside Centre Georges Pompidou!

Very annoying about the ding. So many peolple seem happy to do this and leave without doing the decent thing and putting a note with contact details on the car, even when the damage is very noticeable.
